Jo Courtney

Jo Thompson Courtney serves as Chief Administrative Officer for Central Arkansas Water. Jo oversees CAW's Finance, Customer Service, Information Services, Human Resources and Communications departments at the utility. Jo brings nearly 30 years of government and operational experience to the utility.

Jo earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff as well as a Master of Science in Sociology/Research and Statistics from the University of Central Arkansas.

Prior to joining CAW, Jo was Associate Deputy Director and Chief Financial Officer at the Arkansas Department of Health. She also served as Chief Operations Officer at the Arkansas Office of Health Information Technology and held multiple positions at the Arkansas Department of Human Services.

Jo is an associate minister at Saint Mark Baptist Church, chaplain for the Little Rock Alumnae Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and a monthly volunteer speaker at the Arkansas State Hospital. She previously served as chairperson for the Little Rock Commission for Children, Youth and Families.
